This is the inaugural Hunting PRS competition that will be hosted as a Hutt Valley NZDA club shoot.

The competition seeks to find a balance between speed and precision, and the targets represent life-sized pests found in New Zealand. Shooting distances vary from between 25 and 200 meters which simulates real-life scenario’s we hunters encounter when out hunting. There will be four stages. Each stage has a set maximum time, and you are awarded points according to how many targets you manage to successfully hit during that time. A target hit counts when it would have resulted in an ethical kill of said species of pest.

The first event will be held at Kaitoke Range on Sunday, 29 November as a Club Shoot. Please come along, register, participate and give your feedback. If this event is successful, I am planning to run a series of similar events during 2021 with decent prices and trophy’s to prove that you are the best of the best.

So if you think you can shoot – come and prove it. Either way come along as I am sure it will be a blast!
